PRODUCTION

All we used was a cell phone camera to take several videos that we will piece together for our 2-minute film. iPhone quality is decent enough and the shots and high quality. We didn't use influences for any shots we only used the script. There were no YT tutorials needed during production of our film. During the production phase we had little to no difficulties. Our film was simple and our shots were easy and hard to mess up. The first thing we did is when we went outside and took our shots, we did a few scenes in the main hallway, we then took a shot in the library. We took shots going back and forth in the hallway. We didn't have any learning experiences most of our shots were self-explanatory. We stuck to the script however it might change during editing.  We had no changes during production.

PREPRODUCTION

Our film will be shot throughout the school including the front, the stairs, a classroom and the media center. This is our location because of it's convenience and it also suits the story we are portraying.

We will have one main actor and some background characters because the story is only following one person. Our actor will just need to be there when we are filming during school hours. Our film gives a feeling of memory. This film creates a sense of symbolism between the audience and the main character showing how ones life go to ruin. We will have realistic props/old man costume and black & white background to create emotion.

We will not record any sounds during production however we will use a separate audio recording system that includes a voiceover and background music. Our storyboard is very detailed but also gives a straight-forward outline of how the film is going to look like.

Shooting the film will occur whenever we have the chance but specifically anytime in the next 2 weeks. The technology we will need is a phone and a good editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Capcut.

SCRIPTWRITING AND FUNDING

The script for our film looks like a memoir for this old guy going down memory lane and him looking back on the past.

Examples of memoirs include Beautiful Boy, The tender bar and True story. Memoirs are typically financed by Production companies, investors and self-investment. The money comes from big companies/investors or the person making the movies own funds.

Venom Last Dance:
To begin with, the target demographic for Venom: The Last Dance has a target demographic of ages 13-25. This movie is for people who enjoy action/superhero movies and familiar with the Spider-Man franchise.

Venom the Last Dance is a conclusion to the popular venom trilogy. Sony and Columbia Pictures worked together to produce Venom 3 which is based on the marvel comics. The movie is on Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at home.

This movie was advertised in a popular TikTok trend. Megan Thee Stallion was part of the marketing for this movie. Venom Last Dance included sneak peeks and people wanted more after the success of the last movie. The fans were biting at the chance to watch Tom Hardy’s chaotic performance as Venom. The production process of this film consisted of heavily relied on motion capture technology to animate Venom, utilizing a combination of practical effects and extensive CGI to create the character's movements and interactions, with a focus on capturing natural performances through detailed motion capture sessions.

In addition, this film used cross-media convergence by bringing comics that had been previously produced where brought over to studio and produced as high-quality realistic movies for people to watch. They brought iconic concepts like Knull, or the way Eddie got the symbiote, then they go on to have multiple adventures saving the world by working together and fighting forces of evil.

Some production companies that work with memoirs Columbia Pictures and DreamWorks. Columbia Pictures would be ideal because of their popularity and impact on the memoir genre as a whole.

I would like to produce with a larger company because of the name of the production company more people will be able to see my movie.

If the production company is known people will automatically think the movie won't be bad. The audience will not expect a bad movie if the production company is a household name.

I would show some audience reactions to the film social media excitement about said film and I would show the investors the film. I would show the production company all of these things and they will definitely invest.

Some distribution companies that would be a good match for my film LionsGate and Pathe because of their big name.

I would exhibit our film in both theatrical and nontheatrical to appeal to both audiences and have more people watch or at least hear of my film.
